This scene has not changed much over the last 100 years
The white building on the left, now ‘Spice Cube’, was for many years a bakery.
The houses next to the bridge,on the corner of what was New Road have been demolished.
The loco engine, transporting granite to Barrow has been replaced by a conveyor belt.
And the road surface has been improved.
