  1. Hi Jackie, I found your video so interesting and remember so much..I was born in 1950, and also went to Christchurch school and St. Peters.I was in Mr. Thorpe’s class, he was ever so nice. I can remember going to the Temperance hall for dinner. all marching in single file.and the plays we used to do there. I went on to Barrow Humphrey Perkins.
    I can remember playing up the hills and the common , blackberry picking., like you say , it was safe then. My dad also worked at Rolls Royce , as did my sisters and mum. I worked at School Boot on Danvers rd. Can you remember the hut on the Green? it’s not there now, opposite the now bungalow. near the church, Mum used to leave me there with a lady named Lulu. thats all I remember of her. I lived in Elms close, Church Hill rd, Halstead rd, Danvers rd ,i’m on the Green now.
