CENSUS 1881 – District 2 (pdf)
The 1881 census was taken on the night of 3rd April 1881. District 1 refers to the South end of the village and comprises ” The whole of the township of Christ Church Mountsorrel South.Barrow upon Soar Rural Sanitary District and the Parish of Rothley” The enumerator was Mr.George Bampton.
District 2 refers to the North end of the village and comprises “The whole of the township of St.Peter’s Mountsorrel North and boats at the lock (if any). Barrow upon Soar Rural Sanitary District and the Parish of Barrow upon Soar”. The enumerator was Mr.William Garrett.
